Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how TikTapDown (operated by Leono Global LTD) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit tiktapdown.com. It complements our Privacy Policy and reflects our implementation of Google Consent Mode v2.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and measure usage. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage, which work analogously but store data in your browser rather than as separate files.
2. The Cookies and Storage We Use
TikTapDown uses a deliberately small set of cookies and storage entries. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. (a) Strictly necessary — These are required for the Service to function and do not require consent. We currently do not set any cookies in this category; basic site operation is cookieless. (b) Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — When you accept analytics cookies via our cookie banner, Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_* cookies in your browser to measure unique visits, sessions, and page performance. These are first-party cookies under the tiktapdown.com domain. They expire after 24 months. We use this data in aggregate to understand which tools and articles are useful. (c) Consent storage (localStorage) — We store your cookie preference choice in your browser's localStorage under the key tt_consent_v2. This is how we remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies so we do not show the banner on every visit. This entry persists until you clear your browser storage.
3. Google Consent Mode v2
When you first visit TikTapDown, all consent categories (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage) are set to "denied" by default before any analytics script can run. Google Analytics may load but does not collect identifiable measurement data in this state. If you click "Accept" in our cookie banner, we update all four categories to "granted" and Google Analytics begins normal measurement. If you click "Reject" or close the banner without choosing, all categories remain "denied" and no analytics measurement is performed. This implementation follows Google's published guidance for Consent Mode v2 and is designed to be conservative by default.
4. Changing Your Choice
You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for the tiktapdown.com domain. The next time you visit, our cookie banner will reappear and you can make a new selection. You can also manage cookies directly through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, or block cookies on a per-site basis. Note that blocking strictly necessary functionality may prevent some parts of the Service from working as intended.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where it is enabled in your browser. If our scripts detect a GPC signal, we treat it as an explicit signal of denied consent for advertising and analytics categories, regardless of whether you have interacted with our cookie banner. The older Do Not Track (DNT) browser header is not recognized as a uniform consent signal and we do not currently rely on it. If you want to opt out, please use either our cookie banner or your browser's GPC setting.
6. Third Parties
The only third party that may set cookies or receive data when you accept analytics is Google (for Google Analytics 4). We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social media share widgets, or session replay tools on TikTapDown. Some pages may link out to platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, the Apple App Store, or other publicly available services. Those services have their own cookie policies which apply once you leave TikTapDown.
7. Children
TikTapDown is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, including via cookies or similar storage. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at dmca@tiktapdown.com and we will take appropriate action.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may revise this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, our technology, or applicable law. The most current version will always be posted on this page, with the revision date updated at the top. Material changes that affect what cookies we set or what data we collect will also be reflected in our cookie banner where possible.
9. Contact
