TikTapDown respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the “DMCA”), the text of which may be found on the U.S. Copyright Office website at copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf, TikTapDown will respond to claims of copyright infringement committed using the Service that are reported to our Designated Copyright Agent identified below.
1. About TikTapDown and User-Submitted Content
TikTapDown provides a free toolkit that helps creators interact with publicly available TikTok content, including a video downloader, hashtag finder, trends tracker, hook library, and best-time-to-post tool. TikTapDown does not host, store, or distribute TikTok videos on our servers. Our downloader fetches publicly available media at the time of request and returns it directly to the user. TikTapDown does not own the rights to user-submitted TikTok content and is not affiliated with TikTok Inc. or ByteDance Ltd.
2. Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA Notice)
If you believe that content accessible on or through the Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notification of claimed infringement (a "DMCA Notice") containing the following information to our Designated Copyright Agent: (a) A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed. (b) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works. (c) Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (including, where possible, a URL). (d) Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and email address. (e) A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. (f) A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed. Notices that do not include all of the above information may not be processed. Please be aware that, under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, knowingly making material misrepresentations in a DMCA Notice may subject you to liability for damages, including costs and attorney’s fees.
3. Designated Copyright Agent

We aim to acknowledge valid notices within 48 hours and to act on them within a reasonable timeframe, typically 1 to 5 business days.
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe that content you posted was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification of the material, you may submit a written counter-notification to our Designated Copyright Agent containing the following information: (a) Your physical or electronic signature. (b) Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled. (c) A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification. (d) Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which TikTapDown may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of the alleged infringement or an agent of such person. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed material, unless the original complainant first notifies our Designated Copyright Agent that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the alleged infringer from engaging in infringing activity related to the material on the Service.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, TikTapDown has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, users or account holders who are deemed to be repeat infringers. TikTapDown may also at our sole discretion limit access to the Service and/or terminate the access of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
6. False Claims and Misuse
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages. We reserve the right to seek damages from any party that submits a notification of claimed infringement in violation of the law.
